NEET UG 2023 Counselling Process
The NEET UG counselling for the academic year 2023 is being conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) to facilitate admissions into medical and dental courses across various institutes, including AIIMS, AMU, BHU, JIPMER, and other central institutions. Aspiring students who qualified for the NEET UG exam and are seeking admission to these esteemed institutions will participate in the counselling process.
Important Dates and Instructions
As part of the counselling process, candidates must upload relevant documents on the official MCC website, MCC.nic.in, by July 30. Following this, from July 31 to August 4, candidates must report to their designated institutes to complete the admission formalities. The seat allotment for round 1 will be based on the choices made by the candidates during the counselling procedure.
Candidates who did not register for round one of NEET counselling and were not allotted any seats have a chance to participate in round two of the counselling process. Such candidates must register afresh for round two to be considered for further seat allocation.
Upgrading Institutes in Subsequent Rounds
Candidates allotted seats in round one but wished to upgrade to a different institute can participate in round two. To do so, they must physically report to the college they were initially allotted and then exercise their choice to upgrade to a different institute in round two.
